| Commodity Internet Back Up - NOAA's ISP connection migrated off problem switch complete |

*** Attention ***
Status: Commodity Internet Back Up and Running
Problem: The Cisco switch that the NOAA Gigabit Ethernet connection
terminated on the Qwest end crashed twice today.
Action performed: At 12:15 PM Qwest relocated the NOAA termination to
the Eckington Core Backbone router
Result: This action has removed the problem switch from the NOAA to
Qwest circuit.
The NOC worked with Qwest to relocate the circuit and re-establish the
BGP session. The NOC is monitoring the circuit and the session is
currently stable.
Thank you for your patience during these outages and Qwest does not
expect any further interruption in service.

Subject: SUP Upgrade on TCN switch TCN307 and OCN switch OCN305 in SSMC3 on Thursday Mar. 3, 2005 at 7:30 PM
The NOC completed the SUP upgrade on both TCN307 and OCN305 as scheduled. A couple interface issues were resolved last night and this morning. All issues now appear to be resolved. If you experience any abnormalities please contact the NOAA NOC immediately.

Subject - Maintenance on the OCNGate and MAXGate routers Monday July 12th at 6:30 PM EDT (First of three for the week of July 12th)
Summary: The NOAA NOC will be performing maintenance on the NOAA OCNGate and MAXGate routers on Monday July 12, 2004 from 6:30 PM until 7:30 PM EDT. This maintenance will require a one hour maintenance window.
The effected parties include Internet and Internet2 connectivity to and from the NOAA-DC metro area and its supported sites. It will also effect SSMC to Landover, SSMC to Camp Springs and SSMC to Suitland connectivity.
We anticipate only brief interruptions in service during this maintenance.

The NOAA NOC will be working with Qwest Communications to upgrade the current ISP connection from an OC3 port to the new OC12 port. This upgrade will provide the NOAA-DC area with the additional bandwidth currently required.
